"Yeah?" I waited until he sat down and then crossed my ankles on his lap. "What's he like? Decent guy?"
I was willing to bet not if my brother was this fidgety, but I wanted to hear his spiel before I made up my mind.

Jr chuckled a bit resting his hand on her foot. "Well him and mom have a lot in common as far as attitude... he's rough and hard... and he knows about you're dad, and he might have found out that I was named for him." Jr swallowed hard and let out another sigh. "He don't look to happy."

Aha! So that's what the problem was! Oh...wait. That's real bad.
"Um, J? How unhappy was he? If this guy's big and scary, should I be concerned?"

Jr nodded. "Maybe, I don't think he's the kind to just hunt some dude down, but if presented the opprotunity well, he's like mom and you know how mom can be." He patted her foot with his hand idly. "Mom'll probably take care of it... I just wanted you to know." He looked up and laughed. "I wanna be as strong as him though, mom says he's the strongest, she says he used to teach her... he's huge Em, like a mountain of solid muscle...and I'm afraid I don't messure up to some standard fathers have for their sons." He shook his head. "Didn't mean to tell him bout Sarta and Mom... it just slipped... I mean I aint never had lunch with my dad before."

"Aw, damn. Well, it should be all right," I sighed and crossed my arms under my head. "I'll warn Dad to stay away. And I'm glad you got to have lunch with yours, even if ya don't know how to keep your mouth shut." I gave him my best lopsided I'm-not-really-mad-but-you're-dumb smirk.
I'd warn Dad to stay away from big scary guys, and he would be all right. Probably.

Jr nodded watching birds come over to beg for food. "So, wanna catch a movie and some chow." There wasn't any reason to hang around, no reason to dwell over this crap anymore either.

"Sure, that sounds good," I replied, sitting up. "I'll even pay if you want."

Jr smirked and shrugged. "You sure, I did get some money from the tourny last week?" She would probably want to pay anyways, she never let him do anything for her...
