Sarta brushed his hand against her thigh. "It's like the Game. Oh dang, I lost it." He smirked. "But anyway, it's my job to keep you from thinking about dinner until it gets here."
Why had he waited so long for this?

I laughed and reached up giving his cheek a small teasing tap with my fingertips. "Do I get a refund if you fail?" He smelt good, and he was warm I wanted to be closer, but I wanted some respect... does that make since?

"If I fail, you get to beat me up in your dojo. Oh wait, you do that anyway." A smirk flashed across his face and was almost immediately replaced by surprise. He brought out his wallet. "Another thing. Check it. You wanted to see Emily's graduation picture, didn't you?"

What a strange, strange man. I couldn't help but think, but those thoughts were replaced soon enough. Emily had grown so much, I could still remember getting birthday and Christmas pictures in letters when I was in Thailand... She looked like her mom, but I wasn't going to say that to Sarta, not on our date. "She's gotten so beautiful... she'll break some poor boy's heart one day." I laughed a little. "I still remember when you brought her to the gym that first time... Strong, smart, beautiful... she's a triple threat."
Really I was surprised I was thinking logically, when I had dreamed of this, wanted this but refused to grab him and take him as I should have... as I had wanted him to do to me...
Small talk was for the birds anyhow...
I closed the distance between us, one hand snaking to the base of his skull, as I claimed what had been interrupted during the explosion in Comfort Bay... We were fire after all in need of a spark...
